The Story
Behind Every Plate.

Nana B's Country Kitchen didn't start with a business plan. It started with memories — the smell of a kitchen on a Sunday morning, a grandmother's handwritten recipe card, a mother who knew that food was the language of love.

Owners Victor Friar and Keysha Nichols-Friar built this restaurant as a living tribute to both of their mothers. Every recipe on the menu is a family heirloom — dishes passed down through generations, tweaked and perfected over decades, and now served daily to the Round Rock and Hutto community.

But the name "Nana B" belongs specifically to Keysha's mom. She is the heart at the center of it all — and nowhere is that more present than in Keysha's famous banana pudding, made from her mother's cherished recipe and now one of the most talked-about desserts in the area.

The Announcement

Victor and Keysha announce Nana B's Country Kitchen is coming to 101 Limmer Loop — the former home of Mi Vida Comida — generating immediate excitement in the Hutto community.

Sept 13, 2025

Soft Opening

The doors open for the first time. Smash burgers, wings, fried rice, loaded fries, cakes and banana pudding — and the community shows up. Lines form. Food sells out. The vibe is real.

Oct 8, 2025

Full-Time Open

Nana B's transitions to a permanent schedule — Tuesday through Sunday — with a full core menu. Permanent menus for weekdays and weekends are established. Specials keep things exciting.

From their first Saturday soft opening to a full weekly schedule, Victor and Keysha built Nana B's for the people of Round Rock and Hutto — and the community has shown up every step of the way.

When Huttotopia first spoke to Victor and Keysha before they opened, the excitement was contagious. They weren't just opening a restaurant — they were carrying forward something that mattered deeply: the food their mothers made, the traditions that shaped them, the recipes that deserve to live on.

Victor brings the bold, hearty side of the menu — his signature wings, his special sauce, and a love for cooking that shows up in every plate that leaves the kitchen. Keysha brings the warmth, the desserts, and the soul. Her mother's banana pudding has become the stuff of local legend.

Together they put in the work — building out the kitchen through August and September 2025, soft opening on Saturdays, growing week by week until Nana B's became a full-time fixture in the community it was made for.
